YOUR VIDEO BOOTH
Follow these simple instructions on the day of the event to set up the Voast video booth.
LOCATION
LOCATION
LOCATION
First and foremost, know that placement is everything!
Before removing the stand from the case, take the time to consider the best possible location for set up.
To capture the best sound quality, the Voast Video Booth must be placed far away from loud speakers. The trick is keeping it just close enough to the action so that people know where to find it. The location needs access to power and should be somewhere that naturally invites people to engage with it.
The V’s represent some potential spots… think “near” the action, not in the action.
NOTE: the above graphic is an example for a wedding use case but all the concepts are true for any type of event.
SETTING UP THE BOOTH
Once you have decided on the ideal location, it’s time to crack this thing open for set up. This should not take longer than 5-10 minutes and can be done by one person.
CUT THE ZIP TIES & OPEN THE LATCHES
THE CONTENTS OF YOUR CASE SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS!
PRO TIP: take note of which leg is the shortest (hint: it’s the one under the welcome packet)
TWIST THE LEGS ONTO THE STAND
Make sure to screw the leg in straight and completely. Note the middle leg is shorter (and silver where it connects)
PRO TIP: Most people find it easiest to hold the main stand component between their legs as they screw in.
PUT THE HEAD UNIT ON THE STAND
Note: You’ll need to unfold the mounting bracket so that it is oriented as shown here.
TIGHTEN THE LOCKING LEVER
PLUG THE UNIT INTO THE TOP OF THE STAND
PLUG THE STAND CORD INTO THE WALL
Tap the screen to wake it up and then swipe up from the very bottom of the screen to unlock.
NOTE: If the screen does not turn on, the device may need a few minutes to recharge
TURN ON THE SCREEN
ADJUST BRIGHTNESS AND ANGLE OF HEAD UNIT
THE APP
Your Voast Video Booth comes equipped with an app that is pre-configured and ready to go. Our devices are cellular data enabled as well so that the recorded videos can start uploading to our editors without you needing to set up wifi.
IMPORTANT: If cellular data is not available at your venue, we highly recommend that the unit be connected to a wifi connection. Check this document for help exiting the app and setting the wifi.
1. Confirm that the Voast app is open to the app cover screen.
The app cover screen will have the event name on it and a button to get started.
Note: If the screen does not turn on, the device may need a few minutes to recharge
2. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the app works.
Go ahead and give some real answers to the Q’s or just press “skip” if you’re not quite ready.

GETTING PEOPLE TO LEAVE VIDEO MESSAGES
To get the most out of the Voast Video Booth, you want to capture as much as possible from your event, so use these tried & true tips to invite everyone to leave their video toast.
MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT
Whether its the party host, the guest of honor, the DJ, or team leaders, make sure a verbal reminder is given to all your guests. People who missed the booth at first will surely appreciate a verbal announcement from the one with the mic!
POST A SIGN
Signage can help people know what to expect, so invite guests to use the Video Guest Book with a big sign! We recommend having this sign in a high traffic area. If you have a printed program, that’s a great place for a written reminder too!
Create your own or start with one of our sign templates.
RECRUIT AMBASSADORS
To really get people excited, ask a few people ahead of time to use video booth and recruit other folks to leave video messages. A direct ask goes a long way! The whole place will be buzzing about their video interview in no time.
TAKE DOWN & RETURN
1. Take out the return shipping label and zip ties from this sleeve. Set them outside of the case.
2. Disassemble the booth (by reversing the assembly procedure) and pack it up!
3. Loop the return label through the handle of the case.
(Tip: Zip tie it through its holes around the handle for added security.)
4. Secure the caseclosed by affixing zip ties through the lock holes on the front seam of the case(shown in red).
5. Bring the case to a UPS drop-off location or UPS store no later than the Monday after your event.
